The drivers who write messages, watch videos while they are driving will be punished. The fine is over 1 200 lei and also they will receive three penalization points. The law draft was already voted by the deputies.

If it is not for the first time when the driver does such an encroach, then, he will receive a fine of 3 000 lei. The only exception is when the cell-phones are used as GPS. This way, the traffic will be more safe. Some of the deputies think that it is hard for the policemen to make the drivers more careful.

"When they find out the intention of the driver, they need to call 112 service", said Grigore Novac, PSRM deputy.

The authors of the draft law came up with some examples.

"The driver of a minibus was doing a live on Facebook while driving and hit a truck. 16 children are orphans now", said Eugen Carpov, PPEM deputy.

To convince the deputies to support the project, the authors refereed to the international examples that show how important it is.

Some of the deputies wasn't convinced.

"Do you have a driving license? Maybe we should even ask them to drive alone", said Iurie Chiorescu, PDM deputy.

"Mr.Chiorescu, do you post on Facebook when you drive?", said Andrian Candu, the president of the parliament.

Others just asked to increase the fines for the ones who don't let the pedestrians cross the street.

Such project have already been implemented in Canada, the UK, France, Germany and Russia.
