The Moldovan teachers’ wages are likely to be calculated depending on their performance. The Education Ministry broaches a new remuneration system, based on a research carried out by Estonian experts.

According to the draft, the basic salary of the teachers without didactic degree will be MDL3,300, 300 lei bigger than it is now. In function of the professional degree, the salary will grow, so that the second-degree teachers will get a basic salary of MDL4,600 a month.

The first-degree teachers will get at least MDL6,000, and the superior-degree teachers – MDL8,300, plus a bonus for seniority ranging from 230 to 1,700 lei.

The draft is submitted to public debates and then to the Government and Parliament for passing.
