Economy Minister Octavian Calmîc, Finance Minister Octavian Armaşu and Central Bank Governor Sergiu Cioclea start a working visit to Washington.

They will attend the annual session of the International Monetary Fund and of the World Bank from October 7 through 9.

According to Calmîc, the reunion is paramount for Moldova’s prosperous future.

In its cooperation with the IMF, Moldova has been receiving technical assistance in a series of sectors, as monetary policy, central bank organization, monetary reporting system and bank supervision.

"We’ll inform on the progress in accomplishing the arrangements with the IMF agreed this year and to prepare the decision on signing the program with the IMF," Octavian Calmîc said.
