New winds come to Parliament. Who are they
February 24 elections gave new legislator chances to make contributions to the country.
Most new elected worked previously in fields of business, justice and education.
62 of 101 deputies on national lists and uninominal constituencies were not deputies.
Most of them are from ACUM bloc. Only 3 of 26 deputies worked as deputies before: Liberal Democrat Maria Ciobanu, former Liberal Lilian Carp and former Democrat Oazu Nantoi.
Many representatives of ACUM bloc are unemployed. Liviu Vovc of DA party will get a job thanks to citizens'votes.
According to the wealth statement, in the last two years, Vovc was unemployed and lived from his wife's money and a scholarship. His party colleague, Dinu Plânguu, project coordinator within an NGO, has declared zero incomes over the past two years.
Inga Grigoriu, who has been remarked in recent years with critical statements about the government will reach Parliament. Grigoriu is licensed in dramatic arts and has worked in several public organizations.
PPDA leader Andrei Năstase did not have salary incomes between 2017-2018 nor did he pay any taxes on income.
Thanks to the parliamentary function, his partner in political bloc, Maia Sandu, will have earn the first salary in the past two years.
16 of 35 legislators of Socialist Party are on the first mandate.
In the Parliament in Chisinau there will also be the deputy from the People's Assembly of Gagauzia, Ivanna Koksal. According to the moldovan portal, Koksal is one of the elected representatives who absently attended the People's Assembly, and during his mandate he did not register any legislative initiative.
14 of 30 PDM parliamentarians are on the first mandate but most of them gained rich political experience. This is the case of Ungheni district chairman Ludmila Guzun and current ministers Monica Babuc, Nicolae Ciubuc and Alexandru Jizdan.
This's the first time for Sor party to enter the Parliament. Most of its deputies are economists and lawyers. In addition to Ilan Şor, Mayor of Orhei in 2015, Marina Tauber also won the mandate, a former tennis player and current mayor of Jora de Mijloc. Among the future deputies of this party are Petru Jardan, the director of the company managing the Chisinau Airport.
Due to the mixed electoral system, three independent candidates were appointed as deputy seats on the national constituencies. Two of them are on the first term: Ion Groza, president of Cahul district and Viorel Melnic, former head of the Customs Service, but also former Deputy Minister of Economy.
