Firefighters in West Yorkshire on Wednesday extinguished a large fire that had been burning through moorland since Tuesday evening.
The blaze, stretching 1.5 square kilometres (0.9 miles) in Saddleworth Moor, was one of the largest ever in the area, local fire and rescue teams said.
It came as Britain had its hottest winter day on record with temperatures reaching 21.2C (69.4F) in Kew Gardens, London.
More than 35 firefighters were sent to tackle the flames at the height of the blaze.
