Number of mothers and their children who beg on streets increased

More and more women take their babies among the beggars. This subject was discussed today at the City Hall session.
In this context, the interim of the municipal direction for human rights, Lucia Cacacius announced that the parents who take their children to beg risk to lose the parental rights.
Also, she says that the majority of the beggars are not Capital residents.
A woman from Nisporeni who benefits of social allowance takes her child and to beg for money in the street.
"We made a conclusion that they are not from the Capital. Still, we can see them everyday on the Capital streets. They take their children and beg", said Lucia Caciuc, the interim of the General Direction for Children's Rights.
According to the law, the mothers of minors who beg get a protocol and risk a fine of 750 lei or unpaid community work.
