Octavian Ţîcu and Andrian Candu upon motion to dismiss Chicu government
Octavian Ţîcu, the unaffiliated parliamentarian, has signed the motion proposed by the DA Platform for the dismissal of the Ion Chicu Government. He announced on his Facebook that only a pro-European Government could handle the pandemic.
"We said already that only a pro-European government could get the country out of the major economic crisis, international isolation and prepare the context for free and fair presidential elections." said Octavian Ticu.
Those from the ŞOR Party said that they will take a decision regarding the censure motion at the meeting of the Political Bureau in the coming days.
The President of PRO MOLDOVA, Andrian Candu, announced today in a press briefing that his party will sign without any hesitation any motion of censure filed against the Chicu Government.
On the other hand, Prime Minister Chicu is outraged by the attitude of the opposition, which he accuses of resorting to political tricks instead of helping to fight the crisis caused by the pandemic.
In order to dismiss the Government, the motion of censure must be voted by at least 51 deputies.
Currently, the PRO MOLDOVA parliamentary group has 14 members.
