The oldest park from the northern town of Bălți is drowning in waste. Moreover, the old trees may fall on the passers-by.
Local people say they notified the bishopric of Bălți and Fălești, which is in charge with the area, but no result, despite the headquarters of the bishopric being right in the middle of the park.
The bishop Marchel declined to talk on the issue with a Publika TV crew, while the secretary of the Moldovan Church, Vadim Cheibaș, says it’s not the clerics who must tidy up the park.
The park managing company from Bălți maintains the park is not managed by the town hall, while environment inspectors vow to fine the entities in charge.
The fine is between 6,000 and 9,000 lei ($300-450.)
