Emotions were running high in Manchester on Sunday evening as Ariana Grande lead a star- studded line-up in a benefit concert for the victims of the bombing that rocked the city on May 22nd, according to Euronews.
The event was made all the more poignant in the wake of the terror attack in London the night before.
But for many who’s been caught up in the bombing the event was a healing exercise
Alex Holly, a 21-year-old from Burnley appeared more positive after the concert: “A hundred percent yeah, it’s helped a lot.”
Ella Daniels, a 20-year-old also from Burnley added: “It feels so safe. So safe that it’s security everywhere. And you just feel like there’s gonna be nothing going on. It just feels so good. So much better.”
While 24-year-old Rebecca Gilbert from Middlesbrough who attended May 22 Ariana Grande concert said: “Everyone was saying you’re being silly if you don’t. You know you’ve got to go because, you’ve said from the start you’re going to show that you’re not scared. You know, everyone’s going to show that you’re not scared. Yeah so, we decided in the end that we had to go really. So glad we did.”
