One million lei for citizen projects on city development. First time Chisinau establish civilian budget

Capital inhabitants possibly win one million lei if they come up with rational ideas that aim at developing the city. Municipal councilors have approved for the first time a civilian budget and a regulation of money access.
This budget proposal was previously implemented by a small Polish city.
300,000 lei targets at small projects - up to 30,000 lei - and for which the authors have to collect 50 signatures.
The procedure is not complicated at all. The authors must come up with a project idea, which is subject to the vote.
According to the Regulation, proposed projects must be submitted by 1st August. Before August 31st, the proposals will be put to the vote, followed by the implementation stage.
