Over 1200 km of roads from Moldova will be repaired by the end of the year, within the "Good roads for Moldova" program.

The project was already published in the Official Monitor and starting next week auctions will begin for entrepreneurs. Works will begin at the end of May and there are no possibilities for entrepreneurs to not finish by the deadline, declared director of State Road Administration within Fabrika TV show on Publika TV.

"There are many terms in the contract, since the moment the auction will begin there will be a deadline for each region. We will monitor to see that it is respected. The process will be so controlled that we will select entrepreneur who will be ready to begin works immediately" director of State Road Administration, Gheorghe Curmei said.

Within the program, each citizen will have to chance to check on the web page of the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure or on that of State Road Administration what stage the works have reached.

"We will create an interactive map. Each citizen will be able to access it and see how the works are progressing. What portion of the road is being repaired, how many km and what sort of works are being done. All roads for entrepreneurs are equal, none being prioritized. They will not depend on whether the road is a highway, from a village or a commune" state secretary of Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure, Anatol Usatîi said.

The project "Good Roads for Moldova" was announced by PDM's leader, Vlad Plahotniuc and foresees nearly 1200 km of roads being repaired. For this aim a total of 1.6 billion lei will be invested.
