18,200 undeclared cigarettes have been detained by customs officers over the past three days. The cases were recorded at the Leuseni Customs Offices and Chisinau International Airport.
The first detention was recorded in Leuşeni, where customs inspectors traced 10,000 cigarettes hidden from customs control. Tobacco products were concealed in the floor of a car, whose driver opted for the Green Corridor.
The other two attempts were reported by the taxi drivers at the Capital Airport. Altogether, they detained 8,200 cigarettes of various brands discovered by the reaction of the specialized dogs of the Customs. The documented persons were registered for the races to London and Dublin.
According to the procedure, the lots were detained and the offenders - fined.
