Over 2M Moldova's citizens benefit visa-free regime in EU in 5 years
Over 2 million Moldovans have benefited from visa-free regime in Europe during 2014-2019. Over 6 million crossings registered in the same period.
Republic of Moldova was the first country of Eastern Partnership who obtained visa-free regime with European Union (EU).
According to the European Border and Coast Guard Agency, there were about 0.3% of incoming refusals and 0.5% of irregular cases.
Moldovan citizens prove to be responsible towards freedom in Europe.
Statistics show that 241,415 Moldovan citizens holding biometric passport traveled by the end of first year in Schegen area. There were 1,907,647 Moldovan citizens traveled by the end of 2018.
From April 28, 2014 to March 31, 2019, 2,019,499 Moldovan citizens holding biometric passports traveled to the Schengen area, thus the total number of state border crossings in the European space of this period was 6,245,337.
