Over 800 businessmen attended Economic Forum for Dialogue and Development hosted by AOAM
The Moldovan Businessmen Association hosted on Tuesday the Economic Forum for Dialogue and Development, dedicated to the meeting between representatives of the Moldovan business environment and representatives of the government.
About 45 business associations and business unions from our country, as well as over 800 of the most important business owners and managers in the Moldovan economy, participated in this event.
Prime Minister Pavel Filip, Economy Minister Chiril Gaburici, Minister of Justice Victoria Iftodi, as well as several heads of government agencies and authorities were present on behalf of the government.
In his message, AOAM founding president Vlad Plahotniuc presented to the guests the Coalition's initiative to adopt a package of laws to stimulate the business environment and increase the income of the population.
Vlad Plahotniuc also assured the representatives of the business community that the current government will always be a reliable partner.
"Government remains the partner of the business environment. I assure you that we're looking for solutions for those issues. We want and we can change the attitudes of us and the possibilities of the country", said Vlad Plahotniuc , the chairman of the AOAM.
Additionally, he reiterated the mission of the current government to continue to deliver results and implement reforms to improve the quality of Moldovan citizens' lives.
Prime Minister Pavel Filip made a retrospective of the measures that the current government has taken for the business environment in our country and presented the measures envisaged by the business law package. Fiscal incentives, HORECA proposals, tax regulations, repatriation and pressure on the business environment are part of the legislative package the Prime Minister has spoken about.
Also, Pavel Filip urged the business representatives to support these steps for the good of the whole country:
"We want a better and more transparent business environment. We want you to feel good in the Republic of Moldova when you run a business and of course we want to have the financial capacity when we talk about the state budget in order to be able to solve the problems of the citizens, "the prime minister said.
The event continued with a session of questions from business representatives, where ministers and heads of agencies present answers and clarifications.
"It is an honor for the Association of Moldovan Businessmen to host this meeting, which brings together the top business representatives and the representatives of the government. We had discussions and this platform of dialogue has generated ideas and good solutions to the issues raised.
Many of our draft laws have started following your meetings with you and your colleagues in the industry. This is our mission and we are glad that we have always found openness from the government regarding the business environment of the Republic of Moldova, "Alexandru Baltag, General Manager of AOAM, said in the second edition of the Dialogue and Development Forum.
