Over 90 vehicles and 400 employees have been working since last evening to clean the roads from Capital
The snow is causing a headache for drivers from Capital. Despite the roads being always cleaned, some parts are difficult to cross.
"We have seven streets, Vadul lui Vodă, Timiş, Odesa etc. that are suspended under such conditions. It is dangerous for our equipment to attempt interfere there" deputy Mayor of the Capital, Nistor Grozavu explained.
During the emergency session it was decided that a special team for crisis situations will be established in Chisinau. Specialists will monitor the city and offer updates every 3 hours.
"It will stop snowing in the afternoon, at around 3-4, I urge everyone to do more. As the temperatures at night will drop to -7, we will not be able to interfere if everything is not finished after 3-4" interim Mayor of the Capital, Silvia Radu declared.
Over 90 vehicles and 400 employees from Exdrupo have been working since last evening to clean the roads from the Capital.
"We warm up a bit, it is very cold, but pleasant. It is not very difficult, we clean the roads bit by bit."
"It is very good for the land. We will have rich harvest, but it is difficult for our employees."
Drivers claim that they are going slow to not cause accidents.
"It is difficult, we go slow and even so, there are traffic jams."
"It is very difficult, especially for elder, who are ill."
The schedule for public transport remained the same. Since morning, 300 trolleybuses and nearly 100 buses are circulating.
"Public transport is working non-stop, without weekends. Be it snow, rain, or holidays, we are always circulating" chief of trolleybus system from Chisinau, Gheorghe Morgoci said.
Employees from Exdrupo have worked since last evening to clean the main roads of the Capital.
