Over sixty projects by Moldovan migrant entrepreneurs to receive Pare 1+1 funding
Other 63 projects will be financially supported under the Pare 1+1 programme. 70% of them are for business expansion and development, and 31% are aimed to support the business in the launching stage.
Thirty-four businesses operate in the agriculture sector; fifteen entrepreneurs in the industry; fourteen of them in the field of service provision.
According to data from the Organization for the Development of the Small and Medium Enterprises Sector, the beneficiaries invest the money they earned while working in 12 states, including Belgium, Germany, the Russian Federation, France or Ireland.
The entrepreneurs signed non-reimbursable financing contracts in a total amount of 15.6 million lei. According to the estimates, about 160 jobs will be created and maintained, and the cumulative investments in the Moldovan economy will constitute 39.2 million lei.
Pare 1+1 programme is the EU-funded project which aims at mobilising human and financial resources of Moldovan migrant workers into Moldova's economic development by stimulating the creation and development of small and medium enterprises and corresponding job places by migrant workers and remittance recipients.
For each invested 1 MDL, the Programme will give 1 MDL grant, the ceiling per grant is MDL 200 000. This has provided matching small grants to returning migrants to invest in small businesses and create employment.
Since the launch of the program, 1507 companies have benefited from non-reimbursable financing in total value of over 306 million lei, which generates investments in the economy of almost one billion lei.
