Over thousand jobs were created in Moldova Business Week Forum
Foreign investment of millions euros, export pre-contracts and at least a thousand newly created new jobs. These are the preliminary results of the Moldova Business Week forum.
Entrepreneurs from at least ten countries, including Turkey, France or Germany, are ready to start business with us. Two Italian companies want to invest one million euros in the agri-food sector and another 500,000 euros in an iron and steel processing.
"We have shown that Moldova obtains open economy. We have free access both to the East and to the West, thanks to the free trade agreements we have signed with the Republic of Moldova", Deputy Minister of Economy and Infrastructure, Vitalie Iurcu.
In the framework of the economic forum, four local producers signed pre-contracts for the delivery of agri-food products in supermarket networks in the European Union. At the same time, two factories will export textiles.
"Our producers and exporters have been able to interact with representatives of more than 16 distribution networks on the EU market, namely Romania, but also from the Russian Federation and Azerbaijan," said MIEPO director Vitalie Zaharia.
Almost 1,000 representatives from 20 countries participated last week at the Moldova Business Week forum. The event is this year's fourth edition.
