Larisa Marinencova obtained the best result so far for Moldova at the Paralympics in Rio.

Our athlete was ranked seventh in the powerlifting sample. The best result of Larisa Marinencova of the three tests was at 90 kilograms. Thus, Larisa Marinencova was ranked last in the powerlifting sample.

Meanwhile, Alexandr Covaliov swimmer was disqualified even if he participated in the first leg in sample 50 meters freestyle and arrived at the finish.

Alexandr Covaliov did not complete developments at Rio. He will compete and the 100 meters freestyle.

Earlier, Moldovan athlete, Oxana Spătaru was ranked 10th at the Paralympic Games in Rio.

Spătaru registered the result of 4.02 meters, athlete's personal record at weight throwing.
