The Parliament has voted today new amendments to the Labor Code in the first reading.
Thus, the employees may postpone their vacations for the next year, if it suits the company.
More guarantees have been provided to the employees in case the company is reshaped or undergoes certain changes.
The pregnant employees will be spared from doing certain jobs, as will the breastfeeding mothers.
In case of forced unemployment the employees will receive half of their basic salaries, while such a period shall not last more than four months.
Some modifications mirror EU directives as regards the Labor Law, while others make more flexible the work in market economy conditions.
