PAS approves Monica Babuc's initiative to simplify school program
PAS supports the preuniversity reform, initiated by the Education Ministry, at Vlad Plahotniuc's proposal. PAS considers the actual program is too complicated and it should be changed. The students should have less obligatory objects.
''Obviously, students should choose the objects they want to study'', said Dan Perciun, deputy President of PAS.
The members of PAS brought as an example, the Lyceum of Science Academy, where there was applied a program of reduced objects. More exactly, six objects were reduced from the curriculum.
''We consider the education plan experienced by the Lyceum of Science Academy between 2013 and 2015 is worth implementing. The plan assures the flexibility to chose the objects'', said Eugen Sinchevici, the President of PAS YOUTH.
At the beginning of this week, after a visit at this lyceum, Monica Babuc, the Minister of Education declared the example of this institution will be taken by many other institutions.
''Our target is to transmit the best experiences, inclusively the good practice of this lyceum. We will do it at the beginning of a new year. The experience of the lyceum will be a good example'', said Monica Babuc, Minister of Education and Culture.
Presently, 39 groups of experts in the education sphere work to make the school program easier. In October, Vlad Plahotniuc, the President of Democratic Party accentuated that the program is too compulsory which is a pressure on the pupils and teachers.
