Pavel Filip, the prime minister of Moldova held a meeting with Saulius Skvernelis, the prime minister of Lithuania. Within the meeting, they discussed about the evolution of the bilateral relationship between the countries.

"This visit is a sign that the contact between our countries are at a high level. We have a permanent dialogue and, of course it is very important for us to have many friends and partners.

The cooperation relationships have been already established. Today, we had the possibility to make a step ahead.

The Republic of Moldova appreciates the support of the Lithuania, especially when it comes to the technique support in many important spheres, such as: food safety, health, money laundering, banking system and the fight against corruption.

During this period, we had the possibility to train 80 officers in Lithuania and, of course, I should speak about the Lithuania's contribution to open the NATO office in Chisinau.

Within the meeting, I had the possibility to make exchange of opinions on the common interest subjects.

Also, I had the possibility to talk about the implementation level of the Association Agreement between the Republic of Moldova and the European Union. Of course, this is not a simple path, it is a long and hard one, but it is easier to cross it if you have such partners.

Lithuania is a true friend of ours.

Another subject that we discussed is the intern situation of Moldova on the security issues. Also, the opinion regarding the transnistrean conflict. I reiterated the need to be more strong in order to solve this crisis.
