Pavel Filip: Agriculture is very important for the Government. We will make efforts to develop the economy of the country
The agriculture sphere is very important for the Republic of Moldova Government. The declaration was made by Pavel Filip, the prime minister of Moldova, within the ceremony where Japan donated Moldova new tractors.
"Today, we are participating at a very importunate event for our agriculture. This project is an example of consistency and viability. The project was launched in 1999. This talks about the Japan Government attitude regarding Moldova. We feel that this support is desalinated for Moldovan agriculture rather than for Moldovan Government. This project created over 30 000 jobs. The agriculture is very important for the Government. We made and will make efforts to provide the economic development of Moldova", said Pavel Filip.
At the same time, the chief of the Cabinet of Ministers said that they will benefit of the aid Japan Government offers us.
"The agriculture takes 12% of the country's GDP. I know that this sector need bigger subventions. We live in an informational era and we need a change in the agriculture", said Pavel Filip.
Also, the minister of Agriculture and Environment, Liviu Vlconovici thanked the Japan Government for their aid in agriculture.
"Today, it is a holiday and I want to thank the Japan Government for their support. Almost a half of the Moldovan lands are processed by these tractors", said Liviu Volconovici.
