Pavel Filip and Adrian Candu express solidarity to Italian people
Parliament Speaker Adrian Candu and Prime Minister Pavel Filip expressed solidarity to the Italian people.
Both officials went to embassy of Italy to write in the condolence book.
"We wanted to express our regret and sympathy and write notes addressed to Italian people and authorities. We stand together and I expressed these thoughts from Parliament and all citizens of Moldova part. We are united with Italy through culture and Latin history, we support the people of Italy at this time" , said Andrian Candu.
"How is it humanly and naturally to expresses condolences on behalf of my Government and citizens. We are with the Italian people in these moments. In this area live more than 15,000 Moldovan citizens. Unfortunately nature brings unpleasant surprises. Condolences to Italian people" , said Pavel Filip.
PUBLIKA.MD recalles that an earthquake of 6.2 on the Richter scale occurred in the morning on August 24th in central Italy. The latest data show more than 246 people dead and another 400 injured. Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed the information that the six Romanian died, and another 17 are missing.
