Pavel Filip and Brock Bierman discussed about reforms implemented with US support in Moldova
The benefits of realizing the projects supported by the USA government in our country and the cooperation priorities in the two countries were discussed by Pavel Filip, the prime minister of Moldova and Brock Bierman, the deputy administrator for Europe, Eurasia within the US Agency for International Development.
The chief of the Government showed his thanksgiving for the financial support offered to the USA for implementing different projects in the Republic of Moldova and for technical assistance offered by USAID in order to strengthen the capacities and economic growth.
"There is no citizen who doesn't know about the USAID assistance", mentioned Pavel Filip.
In the context of strengthening the democratic institutions in our country, the prime minister talked bout the public administration reform. The public administration reform is about to be changed.
The deputy administrator for Europe and Eurasia within USAID appreciated the positive changes registered in the Republic of Moldova. Brock Bierman said that within his visit, he discussed with many entrepreneurs who managed to develop successful affairs and mentioned the importance to continue the reforms that would develop the affairs sphere and fight against corruption. At the same time, the official said that the efforts should be continued.
"To develop this country, we should implement reforms in all the spheres, reforms that will facilitate the citizens' life style", said the prime minister.
The last year, the volume of the assistance offered by USAID is approximately 24 million USD. Starting 1992, the USA offered an aid worth 1,4 billion USD to the Republic of Moldova.
