Pavel Filip at Moldova Cluster Days 2018: Moldova will always be a country where you would like to invest
Prime-Minister Pavel Filip participated at the first edition of Moldova Cluster Days 2018, organized at Chisinau. At the opening of the event, the Prime Minister mentioned that during the last years the automotive sector has become one of the most dynamic in our country with significant investments and increased development potential. Today, 15 companies are active in this sector, with 15 thousand employees and salaries of about 17 thousand lei.
"When we say 15 000 employees talk, actually 15 000 families in which parents have stayed home, work here and see their children grow. It is, in my view, a result that I - have achieved together: on a new party as your authorities, on the other hand, as a sector of the economy, as an alliance of efforts - is a partnership to which I have, which we have gained with much work and which we will further strengthen. firmly believe that the automotive industry helps us get what we - I proposed: increasing income, creating new living labor, wealth, a strong economy", said Pavel Filip.
In this context, the head of the Executive referred to the actions taken by the authorities to stimulate investments, stressing that measures such as the abolition of permissive acts and the bodies with control functions, the modernization of the Labor Code, and the launch of the Single Window, generated significant economic growth . At the same time, revenues to the state budget increased, exports increased by 30%, salaries were increased, and the number of people receiving envelopes fell by half.
"In three years we have laid the foundation - a solid and strong foundation." Those who already have investments in our country, have been with us in this process, not at all. "Every leu invested is a certificate of confidence that we, in Moldova, we understand what our priorities are: we are going to build together, Moldova will always be a country where you will like to invest more and more", concluded the Prime-Minister.
Automotive Cluster Days is a platform for establishing mutually beneficial connections between multinational automotive companies and potential local and international automotive suppliers. The event brought together more than 200 local suppliers of automotive industry, residents of the Balti Free Economic Zone, as well as representatives of international companies in the field.
