Authorities will offer all the necessary support so that farmers will have best working conditions in spring. The announcement was made by PM Pavel Filip, during the Government's meeting.

"The followings weeks will be crucial for agriculture. I wish to remind that in 2017 we had a record amount of wheat harvest, the biggest since 1990. We wish to gain the same result in 2018, therefore we are ready to offer all necessary support" Prime Minister declared.

"As in previous years, the state will offer subventions to farmers, having foreseen for this aim 900 million lei and will ensure that those money, just like in the past year, will be used efficiently.

We will watch over agricultural works in those intense weeks to ensure that farmers will have the necessary fuel. Each time we encountered this. It is important to make sure that farmers are supplied with fuel required in agricultural works, to make sure everything goes smoothly. [..] I urge authorities, including, Customs Service, Agency for Implementing Agricultural Projects, as well as local authorities, especially mayors, to implicate either directly or indirectly to ensure best working conditions" Pavel Filip said.
