Pavel Filip: Economic growth offered us possibility to pay pensions and salaries on time
Within the common session of the Parliament and the Government, Pavel Filip, the Prime Minister of Moldova declared that he proposed to approve the budget law for 2019.
"When I made the balance sheets I focused on two important directions. The first one is the roadmap sheet that was made in common with the Parliament and the national actions plan for the Association Agreement. This list provides the priority projects and talks about many actions plans. First of all, there are included the macrofinancial projects.
At the same time, we have proposed that the conditionalities we have for the second tranche and the third tranche should be approved in this session. All this session we intend to approve the budget law for 2019 because this is an electoral year and we want to approve the budget before 2019.
We will try to stay apart from the election campaign and the political fights and we will concentrate more on the reforms. When it comes to what we managed to realize, I want to mention the 4% economic growth in 2016 and 2017. This economic growth offered us the possibility to pay the pensions and the salaries on time.
Secondly, this year we became shareholders of a very important bank, Banca Transilvania. This is a reply to the crisis from 2015", declared Pavel Filip, prime minister.
At the same time, the prime minister said how important it is for the parliamentary majority to cooperate.
