Pavel Filip had a meeting with the chairman of the German East Economy Committee in Minsk. What they talked about
A group of German businessmen interested in investing in our country will come to Moldova next spring. The announcement was made during the meeting with Prime Minister Pavel Filip, by the chairman of the German Economic Committee, Wolfgang Büchele. The official is the Association of German companies that trade with Eastern Europe. The meeting took place in Minsk, in the margin of the Basic Group at the Munich Security Conference.
The Prime Minister appreciated the presence of German investors in the Moldovan economy - at present, over 400 German-owned enterprises are registered in our country, with investments worth almost 700 million lei in the share capital. Among the largest German companies are Südzucker and Dräxlmaier.
"The fact that investors come means we have a favorable investment climate. I would like to establish direct, mutually beneficial contacts between the business associations in our countries", said Pavel Filip.
The prime minister referred to the Government's reforms to improve the business environment: reducing institutions with control functions, tax reform, amending the Labor Code and the new law on public procurement, which eliminates bureaucracy and corruption in the sector.
The prime minister encouraged German businessmen to invest in our country - in the agri-food sector, information and communication technology, energy and banking. "We believe that German investors can benefit from the knowledge already accumulated by the Moldovan labor force in these sectors", said Pavel Filip. At the same time, the Prime Minister invited Wolfgang Büchele to attend Moldova Business Week, which will be held in Chisinau in November this year.
