Pavel Filip held meeting with Ana Birchall: The bilateral cooperation will continue

Today, Prime Minister Pavel Filip held a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister for implementing Romania's strategic partnerships, Ana Birchall. The officials exchanged views on bilateral cooperation in energy, environment, education and culture.
The prime minister expressed gratitude to Romania for its constant support. "We thank for everything Romania has done for Moldova. It is important that you have given us help when we needed it the most. That means true friendship", said Pavel Filip.
In particular, projects for energy interconnection, reconstruction of kindergartens, cultural edifices, delivery of school minibuses, as well as environmental projects, including the cleaning of the river bed of the Bâc, were highlighted.
The Parties agreed to continue cooperation in these areas and to make the understandings reached at the joint meeting of the Chişinău and Bucharest Governments. These include the elimination of roaming charges between our countries.
Deputy Prime Minister Ana Birchall mentioned that these connections are the best bridges between Moldova and Romania. "We have always been with the Republic of Moldova. My arrival in Chisinau is also a continuation of those discussed at the joint meeting of our Governments", Ana Birchall said.
Prime Minister Pavel Filip congratulated Romania on the occasion of the first presidency of the Council of the European Union, expressing its confidence that this will be a success and will bring benefits to the Republic of Moldova.
The officials also exchanged views on the parliamentary elections in our country. The prime minister stressed that the authorities will ensure all the necessary conditions and the election will be free, fair and will reach the European standards.
