Pavel Filip held meeting with European Parliament delegation
Pavel Filip, the prime minister of Moldova hold a meeting with the MEPs of the Commission for External Affairs and the Commission for Budgets, that will stay in Moldova between April 3 and 6. The visit targets to evaluate the changes that occurred after the implementation of the Association Agreement with the EU and monitor the efficiency of the EU financial support.
Pavel Filip appreciated the European Parliament's support in implementing the reforms agenda.
Both the Government and the Parliament can set the first priority to be the implementation of the Association Agreement and continue the common efforts and fulfill all the responsibilities.
"The EU support is very important for us. We don't have an A or B plan, our only plan is the European integration", said Pavel Filip.
In this context, the prime minister mentioned that the Government make everything possible to realize the reform agenda. At the same time, the way the mechanism was controlled previously, has changed.
"Now, we spent the public money more careful", said the prime minister.
The chief of the Ministers Cabinet counted the main reforms realized by the Government in the last period, among which the public administration, justice and pensions reforms. Due to the implementation of the pensions reform, the average pension achieved the minimum consumer basket.
At the same time, at the end of the actual Government's mandate, there will be realized the Justice reform, that proposes to realize a vast range of actions aimed to change the justice system.
The MEPs confirmed their desire to continue the cooperation of the EU with the Republic of Moldova, so the citizens will benefit of better life conditions.
