Prime Minister Pavel Filip held a meeting with the President of the National Confederation of Employers, Leonid Cerescu. The officials talked about the measures taken by the Government so far to improve the business environment: reducing the number of institutions with control functions, permissive acts and releasing them through the one-stop-shop, approving amendments to the Labor Code.
All these actions ensured steady economic growth over the last 3 years by 4% -2016, 4.5% -2017 and 5% in the second quarter of 2018. This allowed the Executive to carry out several social projects, including reforming two important systems: payroll and retirement.
Leonid Cerescu appreciated the opening of the Government to solve the problems of businessmen and efforts to create the optimum conditions for the economic agents. At the same time, some issues still to be addressed are mentioned.
They have also set the priorities for the future to strengthen the dialogue between the Government and the National Confederation of Employers. Prime Minister Pavel Filip stressed that the Executive will continue to support the development of the business environment by promoting policies that ensure predictability and clear business rules for economic agents.
