Pavel Filip on Wine Day: We will continue to invest in this field
The Government will continue to invest in wine making field, as this is very important for the national economy. The statement was made by Pavel Filip, the prime minister of Moldova.
"I am glad to be here today, to see the smile on your face. Here we have 60 national wine makers. The XVIIth edition of the Wine Day is entitles "Wine of the soul". I am sure that these people who came to present their wines worked very hard to get it. We are a country of hospitable people. Our people will always tread well their guests.
Each Moldovan will offer a glass of good wine and a pie to all their guests. Yesterday, I held a meeting with the Georgian prime minister. Among the subjects we discussed on, is the one about wines.
I reached the conclusion that the wines tell a lot about us. The Moldovan wine passed through a lot of challenges and one of these is the Russian embargo.
I am proud that we have such a good wine in Moldova. Dear wine makers, I want to thank you for what you do. Keep doing it. Now, our wines are exported in the EU, the USA, Japan and other countries.
Our wines are awarded each year. We have already got over 400 medals at the international contests. We feel responsible to provide the required conditions to the wine makers. I want to assure you that the authorities will continue to support you. I also want to thank the organizers of the event. You did a great job."
