Pavel Filip to Alexandr Lukasenko: Our relationship is based not only on friendship, but also on economy projects
Prime minister Pavel Filip and Alexandr Lukasenko, the Belarus president held a meeting and discussed about the cooperation potential of the countries. The officials mentioned the constructive character of the relations.
The prime minister mentioned that the relationship between the two countries are based on friendship and trust, these also have concert projects that will be implemented.
"It takes years to test the friendship, you don't only give it a qualification when you are in your glory moments, but also when you are in critic ones. When the Republic of Moldova was at its worst, Belarus supported us and offered export markets, especially for wines. I want to make sure that all of us appreciate this friendship, as it counts for us", said Pavel Filip.
Alexandr Lukasenko declared that he has only good memories about Moldova, as he visited it many times.
"I always remember the good things about Moldova, the orchards, people's houses", said the Belarus president. The official added that the Belarus Republic finds it easy to cooperate with the Republic of Moldova, because our countries are not opponents.
"You produce everything we want to buy and this is why we need you. We don't need to be opponents, we need to cooperate", said Alexandr Lukasenko.
The prime minister said that the Moldovans appreciate the Belarus technique, as it has a high quality and a good price. In the past five years, 120 trolleybuses were purchased by Moldova from Belarus. The Chisinau City hall decided to buy 50 trolleybuses for the Capital.
The prime minister invited Belarus companies to participate at the auctions regarding the roads repair from Moldova.
The parts also mentioned about the opportunity to inaugurate a direct flight from Chisinau to Minsk, as this will develop the tourism.
It is very important for our country to provide medical equipment from Belarus, for the medical institutions from Moldova.
Pavel Filip and Alexandr Lukasenko confirmed the availability to evolve the the intergovernmental session in June. This session takes twice a year and has good results. Thus,the commercial exchange between the countries reached 225 million USD last year, which is 10$ more than in 2016. Presently, in Modlova there are 90 companies with Belarus capital.
Pavel Filip and Alexandr Lukasenko showed his interest for the development of the cultural relationship in the context of inaugurating the monument of Francist Skorina in Belarus.
