Moldovan Premier Pavel Filip asked the responsible institutions to take concrete measures to combat people trafficking. The request was made at the meeting of the relevant Committee.

The head of executive also referred to the report of the United State Department on Human Trafficking, in which the Republic of Moldova was relegated.

A package of measures to improve the situation concerning this issue was approved at the meeting.

Among other things, it concerned the increase of investigative capacities, criminal prosecution and the fight against corruption in the judiciary.
