Municipal authorities have announced that crossings in dangerous regions of the city will be pained with red and white colors and covered by thermoplastic, a material more resistant than paint. Such a crossing will cost on average 15 thousand lei.
Street lights will also be installed near intersections, such a system costing around 10 thousand lei.
Vitalie Butucel claims that crowded areas that pose a danger will also have a metal parapet installed to separate the road from the sidewalk. In this case, over 30 thousand lei will be spend per 100 meters.
Authorities will following establish the exact regions requiring to be made safer, but claim that their main priorities will be schools. Works will begin in spring.
