A pedestrian was torn into pieces by a taxi last evening on Munceşti road from the Capital, at around 21:00 local time.

According to the police, the 47-year-old man was crossing the road illegally. The 23-year-old driver claimed to not have noticed him, due to the street being poorly lit.

All circumstances are being investigated. If found guilty, the driver risks up to 7 years of imprisonment.
