Pedestrian street from Capital covered by holes. Chisinau City Hall will repair it
Five years after inaugurating Eugen Doga street from the Capital it is filled by holes. The City Hall promises to cover the repair costs, only because the firm doing the repair works gave only one year guarantee.
Obviously the pedestrians are dissatisfied about the problems that they face.
"I think that the sidewalk should be repaired."
"In other countries you can not see such issues."
Nistor Grozavu vice mayor confirmed that they didn't take into consideration the technology of applying the sidewalk. Grozavu also says that another cause of it is the illegal parking.
"It is wrong that they didn't take into consideration the thing that cars also drive here", said Nistor Grozavu, the Capital vice mayor.
The representatives of the National Patrol Inspectorate record driving encroaches on the pedestrians street daily.
"Our colleagues intervene in such cases. They fine the drivers who make the encroaches by 1.500 lei and four penalization points", said Pavel Apostol, Infotrafic director.
The building works of Eugen Doga street started at the end of 2012 and were finished within two years. The project costed 300 thousand Euro.
