Pensions to increase starting 2018
The Government decided to carry out the next stage for recalculating pensions for retired and disabled people registered in 2012 - 31st March 2017.
Therefore, starting 1st April 2018 pensions registered in 2012 - 2013 will be recalculated, while from 1st October 2018, those from 2014 - 31st March 2017. Those actions initially were set for 1st April 2019 and respectively, 1st April 2020.
Therefore, it is anticipated that next year, monthly pensions for 130 746 retired persons will be recalculated, which will represent a 300 lei raise. While for 21 264 disabled people, monthly pensions will grow by 280 lei.
At the same time, the project approved today by the executive suggests changing the legal retirement age.
Making it so that both men and women will have to posses at least 10 years experience, in specially-trained workplaces, with a full contribution period.
