Dozens of people living on Onisifor Ghibu street, Buiucani sector, Chisinau, have gathered last night outside to protest against the noises caused by a construction site near their houses.

People are bothered that constructions continue even after 18:00, even if the law forbids it. 

Representatives of the construction company claim that they need to work overtime due to technical difficulties:

"A pump broke and by the time a new one arrived were behind the schedule. How else can we catch up?"

Citizens claim that they cannot rest due all the noises that can even be heard at 23:00. According to them it is not the first time the construction works are performed during the night:

"They are building during the night for around two weeks now. Not during the day, but during the night. I try to sleep, but cannot due to all the noises."

"At 23:00 my child is not sleeping yet because of the construction."

"It is impossible to rest home."

For breaching the law, police claims that the company will receive a fine between 3 000 and 4 500 lei.
