People from Dodon's entourage get offices to lead the country. Who is SPPS chief
An agent of Russia, named by Dodon as Chief of SPPS (The State Protection and Guard Service) “Iaroslav Martin has an experience of more than 20 years in force organizations, inclusively in SPPS and has reached the rang of Colonel”, Dodon wrote on his Facebook page.
What Dodon missed to write is that Iaroslav Martin was kicked out of the system in 2014, being suspected of ties with Russian agents. Well-informed sources told for actual.md that his file is now in the archives of the special Moldovan services and may be requested by deputies who want to study the "patriotic" past of the new Head of the service.
Dodon's actions fit perfectly into the scenario of total subordination of Moscow's state security interests. Thus, his colleague from protests in 2015, the PPDA leader, Andrei Năstase, got to be the Head of the Interior Ministry. The godfather of the convicted oligarch, Victor Topa, has been repeatedly accused by the press and experts of playing the Kremlin's instructions. The vote at the PACE session is the most recent confirmation, along with the socialist Vlad Batrâncea, for the return of Russia to the European forum.
Another person close to Dodon from the Government of Sandu, working next to Nastase, is the Minister of Defence, Pavel Voicu, formerly Adviser of the Head of State. On Tuesday, Alexandru Esaulenco became the General Director of the Intelligence and Security Service. Immediately after making the oath, even from the Parliament's tribune, Esaulenco proposed Artur Gumeniuc, Adviser of Dodon, for the position of Deputy Director of the SIS. Several experts have also warned that the security sector is completely lacking in the Sandu Government's work program.
