Approximately 30,000 people with special needs will receive a unique indemnity of 500 lei. Help will be provided on the occasion of the People with Disabilities Day.

For this purpose, the state has allocated over 15 million lei. The money will reach those who have the most serious financial problems.

According to statistical data, there are 182 thousand persons with special needs in Moldova, of whom almost 12 thousand are children.

Monthly, people with disability receive a pension of 647 lei, and those who have a serious health problem - 1273 lei. The state also provides allowances of around 500 lei for those who care for people with special needs.
