Personal Data Protection Center to be given more powers
The Cabinet has endorsed a package of bills to improve the work of the National Center for Protecting Personal Data.
The drafts aim at enhancing the protection of the personal data in Moldova and mean carrying out the country’s European integration commitments.
The bills will strengthen the institutional independence of the Center, as the staff will be enlarged.
The authority will be entitled to promptly intervene in case any operators will encroach upon the integrity of natural persons’ personal data.
The Parliament will have to debate on and pass the package.
