Plain air concert by Moldovan National Youth Orchestra
A new concert from the ‘Fascinating Architectures’ series was put on yesterday evening. The talented young people from the ‘Moldovan National Youth Orchestra’ entertained the public with inciting adaptations after modern songs. The event took place in plain air.
Songs by Michael Jackson, Bob Marley, Sting and Daft Punk were given a new interpretation by the artists from the Moldovan National Youth Orchestra. Kaiser Band were special guests.
The event is meant to promote qualitative music.
"We promote free concerts so that the people may enjoy them," said the director of the Moldovan National Youth Orchestra, Adriano Marian.
The concerts are organized with the support of Vlad Plahotniuc’s Edelweiss Foundation and of the U.S. Embassy to Moldova.
"We’re happy we can support the Moldovan youths. This is our main goal. It’s nice to attend an event gathering so many gifted musicians," said the deputy head of the Embassy, Julie Stufft.
Culture minister Monica Babuc also attended the concert: "Our hearts are full of joy, since nice music in a nice summer in a nice country can bring you but positive emotions."
The first Fascinating Architectures concert too place on Wednesday, at the National Art Museum, as the last one is to be put on today at the Soroca Fortress.
