Poland will inspire Moldova in implementation of urban development policies
Moldova will be inspired over Poland's experience in the implementation of urban development policies. A delegation of Polish experts paid a visit to our country. Together with the Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Construction,Anatol Usatâi they discussed projects for the coming years.
For three days, experts from Poland visited cities in southern Moldova. During Cahul town visit, experts met with local authorities, which reviewed the problems of this region. Ministry of Economic Development representative in Poland said they had great projects for our country and that soon, Cahul will ally with one village in Poland. However, the purpose of the visit was to improve the National Strategy for Regional Development for the next four years.
"The most important result so far has been our assistance towards developing of the National Regional Development Strategy for the years 2016-2020. This document is very important for Moldova as the European Commission relates to such strategies, when determining regional policy. Revitalization of the urban policy is one of the tools" , said expert Grzegorz Pragert.
According to Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Construction, Anatol Usatii the solutions presented by the Polish experts are real, and over the coming years, urban areas will get a new face.
"We're not talking about building new urban centers, more about revitalization. The exchange of experiences and views will continue after the visit of the Moldovan delegation to Poland. The solutions are quite possible from our point of view, even realistic, the first important solution is to approach urban development policy" , said Deputy Minister of Regional development, Anatol Usatâi.
Cooperation activities with Polish experts are conducted within the project "Moldovan government support in implementing the National Strategy for Regional Development of Moldova for 2016-2020".
