Police are making announcement about the election: Drunk observers and several photographed ballot papers
The police oversaw today the security and public order in and around the polling stations. According to the head of the National Patrolled Inspectorate, Marin Maxian there have been several violations over the course of days.

I want to pay attention to the case that took place at the named customs post. The mobile urns that were planned in Varnita to the Pentagon in Bender were stopped at 11:30. Authorities intervened. The OSCE was informed and the peacekeeping commander was summoned. As a result, starting at 13:00 there was a bad attempt as they entered the territory of this post, the car was stopped. In this case, a criminal case is started. It is informed by the OSCE.
At the same time, 139 complaints were submitted to the police for alleged misconduct. 5 of the allegations supposedly corrupted the voters. Runs the measures. Three cases of transporting voters for financial remuneration.
Measures for probation are taking place. INP reported 4 cases. The police reacted to drinking alcohol near the polling stations. There were 8 cases leaving the polling station with ballot papers. This is not allowed. The police prevented. With regard to persons, minor offenses were taken. In 2 cases it was established that the observers were intoxicated in the polling stations. There were 3 cases of voting ballots. Contravetional procedures. We also had 9 cases when observers tried to stir agitation in polling stations", said Marin Maxian, head of the National Patrol Inspectorate.
PUBLIKA.MD notes that today Moldova choose again. People are called to decide their future for the next four years. Polling stations will close at 21:00, and this means that the citizens still have a few hours until the polling stations are closed.
If, close to 21:00, when polling stations are closed, there are several voters inside the office who have failed to express their voting option, electoral officials decide whether to extend the period.
PUBLIKA.MD mentions that, for the first time, the elections take place on the basis of the mixed voting system. This means that 50 parliamentarians are elected as in the previous elections, on party lists, and 51 - in uninominal constituencies. The distribution of the 50 deputy mandates in the national constituency will be made only for the competitors who have exceeded the electoral threshold: 6% for the parties and 8% for the electoral blocks.
