Police to fight human trafficking with "Hidden among us" campaign
The information campaign "Hidden among us" was launched in Causeni town. The event was attended by the head of the Center for Combating Human Trafficking of the National Investigation Inspectorate, Lilian Levandovschi.
The campaign aims to inform society about the risks and consequences of human trafficking.
The event was attended by authorities from Causeni town, representatives of the National Committee for Combating Human Trafficking, International Organization for Migration in Moldova, Center for Assistance and Protection of Victims and Potential Victims of Trafficking in Chisinau, civil society, religious denominations, community mediators, teachers and businesses.
The "Hidden among us" is a another campaigns conducted in Ukraine and Belarus in the program against human trafficking, funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Norway and implemented by IOM missions in these countries.
The campaign will be carried out during April to May in several regions of the country, informing society about the risks of human trafficking.
