PRAISES FOR MOLDOVAN WINE: Third edition of Global Wine Tourism Conference is over

They have praised the Moldovan wine at the end of the third edition of the Global Wine Tourism Conference. The 200 participants from 60 countries were impressed by the potential of our country. Deputy Secretary General of the World Tourism Organization, Jaime Cabal, thanked the Chisinau Government for hospitality and said that Moldovan wine deserves to reach the tables all over the world.
"Thanks to the Government of the Republic of Moldova for hospitality, for this organization," said Deputy Secretary General of the World Tourism Organization, Jaime Cabal.
The authorities said they were making great efforts to increase the volume of wine exports.
"Our wines are the most awarded in the world, we have over 380 medals, mostly gold, most of them in the European Union," said the State Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture, Vasile Luca.
"We believe this conference was an honor and a very important step for us," said the head of the Moldovan Investment Agency, Rodica Verbeniuc.
Before the global conference closing ceremony, guests had a tour through the Cricova cellars. They have tasted a collection of sparkling wines and the finest wines.
"I did not know that in the Republic of Moldova there is such a culture, tradition and big cellars for such a small country," Armenian representative Marina Mirzabekian said.
"It's very beautiful, these collections, these old wine stands ...", said Georgia's representative Tornike Zirakisvili.
At the same time, Chile has decided to host the next edition of the World Wine Tourism Conference. The relay was sent by the director of the Investment Agency.
"This symbol is yours, Chile! - Thank you!"
"There have been two wonderful days. Thank you Moldova and we will see you next year," said Chilean representative Cristobal Forttes.

Viticulture was organized under the aegis of the World Tourism Organization in partnership with the Government of the Republic of Moldova.
