Premier inists on having open, constructive dialogue with local public administrations
Prime Minister Pavel Filip has attended a working sitting of the Local Authorities Congress (CALM), today, discussing the issue the ciotizens cope with at the local level.
"An important thing in our communication is to remove the barricades, because we are the ones representing the state. I insist on having a steady cooperation, because the problems must be discussed as soon as they appear,” the Cabinet chief has said.
The local authorities representatives have discussed about the need to better distribute the Road Fund, capitalizing on the money in carrying out development projects, remunerating the civil servants, and the importance of providing qualitative services to citizens.
They have come up with proposals concerning the local autonomy, improving the dialogue between the local and the central powers, and decentralizing the public administration.
Pavel Filip has told them the economic development and the remuneration issue will be possible in line with reforming the public administration, as the Government will make efforts to find an efficient way of maintaining the local roads, also offering more leverage to the local administrations to manage the issues of localities.
