For the first time in Moldova, the women will be able to donate milk for babies born prematurely. A human milk bank will be soon set up within the Mother and Child Institute in Chisinau.

The donors must be healthy and without vices.

About 800 babies are being born prematurely at the Mother and Child Institute. 90 % of them do not receive maternal milk in the first days of life.

When the bank is created, the babies will receive healthy milk immediately after birth.

There are 210 maternal milk banks in Europe, as others 17 are to be opened soon.
