Presidents of Parliaments of Georgia, Republic of Moldova and Ukraine signed declaration on security and defense
Presidents of Parliaments of Georgia, Republic of Moldova and Ukraine signed a declaration through which they are obligated to promote joint policy in the area of security and defense. The documents was signed by Andrian Candu, Irakli Kobakhidze și Andriy Parubiy, during inter-parliamentary summit, "Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine: Eastern Partnership and current security challenges".
The three Presidents urge Governments to draw common obligations, along with fitting mechanisms to strengthen cooperation in terms of defense and security, to increase the capacity to fight against threats of the hybrid war and implement projects for infrastructure and energy integration.
The officials have expressed their concerns regarding the Russian troops that continue to remain within the territory of Republic of Moldova and interfere in other shapes in Georgia and Ukraine. At the same time, the documents states their concerns regarding the coordinated foreign support, for separatist movements, stirring up hatred based on ethnicity and language, operations for misinformation though mass-media, social networks and internet: discrediting all decisions made by the Government, through propaganda, invented accusations and laughable historic references.
"We request all parties interested in supporting us to investigate and take appropriate actions on any illegal attempts to coordinate certain states empathizing on territorial integrity, national security and democracy in our countries. We urge our colleagues from EU and EU institutions, as well as from U.S. to continue supporting Georgia, Republic of Moldova and Ukraine in their difficult path, but one necessary for democratic reforms."
Presidents of Parliaments of Georgia, Republic of Moldova and Ukraine through this declaration restated that European integration is the single and most efficient instrument to ensure prosperity, security, sustainable development and democracy for their countries.
